Collateral Damage

Recently, I had the privilege to create a presentation for my mentor to use during workshops with police officers on mental health arrests. Surprisingly enough, a significant amount of lawful police officer do not know the repercussions an arrest can have on a mentally ill individual. In fact, in many instances, police officers may arrest an individual with mental illness to get help for them. While there are a few individuals who do in fact benefit from arrest, there are many who instead suffer. To learn more about the collateral damage, check out the presentation I created here.
