Frisco ISD's Research Showcase took place on Wednesday, January 18th at the Ford Center at the Star. At Research showcase, ISM students had the opportunity to display their work and field of study. Overall, the event was a success. I got to share information about my field with numerous individuals! I got asked lots of great questions and I believe many walked away having learned something new. Indigent defense is not a well-known or understood field which made lots of attendees curious. My original work was on a crime map of Liberty High School, which many people found fascinating as well. Additionally, I was able to show off my work, knowledge, and original work to some really exceptional individuals such as my mentor, Liberty High School's principal, ISM alumni and Frisco ISD's deputy superintendent.
A big thank you to all those who supported the program by attending. A quick shoutout to my parents for helping me prep for the event and for providing me with the resources I needed. I would also like to thank all the ISM teachers, Frisco ISD administrators, and Cowboys employees who made this event possible and successful!
