With Research Showcase only a few days away, I have been putting the final touches on my Original Work. As mentioned previously, for this project, I collected Liberty High School's crime data and created a crime map of the school. I assigned colors to each offense and then plotted it onto a campus map to identify patterns. So far, my findings have been very interesting and you all can read about it when I upload my original work. However, I have faced a few challenges along the way. Originally, I had planned to collect data from three different FISD schools. However, though my school's School Resource Officer was able to provide me with the information for Liberty, he was unable to do so for two other schools. Since he did not have access to such data, I reached out to two other SROs but they were unable to help either. All projects hit snags in the road and luckily, these snags won't compromise everything I've been working on.
