"Congratulations! Today is your day. You’re off to Great Places! You’re off and away! You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go."
~Dr. Seuss
Can you guess what this means? It means Liberty High School's Class of 2017 has finally graduated!!! Which by default means, I've graduated. Soon, I'll head off to college, I'll be attending Texas Tech's Honors College
in the fall and I can't help but reminisce about my childhood. Thus, the Dr. Seuss excerpt. I know that I won't be completely alone, left to make decisions by myself, but I'm one step closer, which is the scariest thing I can imagine. The only thing that reassures me is the knowledge that I've been prepped to be a responsible and successful adult by the Independent Study and Mentorship program. For that, I'll be forever grateful. I'm excited about the different experiences I'll have and things I'll learn in college. Everything in the past 18 years seem to be leading up to this point. Elementary school is meant to prepare you for middle school. Middle school is meant to prepare you for high school. And high school is meant to ease the transition into college.
