This week, I have been working tirelessly on my 8th Evidence of Learning. A Evidnece of Learning (EOL) assesment is very similar to a research assessment but is different in that a EOL is more orientated around information you have learnt from your mentor. A research assessment on the other hand is more about a subject you decided to research through books, articles, and/or the internet. My recent Evididence of Learning was written on the MoCA test, which is otherwise known as the Montreal Cognitive Exam. This exam is utilized to deetermine if an individual has cognitive impairment and if so, to what extent. The test is fairly simple and tests subjects such as Visuospatial and Executive ability, memory, attention, and orientation. It is especially interesting to learn about what each task indicates and looks for. I first learned about this test on a mentor visit during the month, when my mentor showed me a copy of a completed test of an individual he evaluated. It was interesting to see how he had completed the test, and D.Dunn pointed out where the individual had made errors and explained what the errors signified. I will upload a copy of the EOL as soon as I have the opportunity to transform it into a PDF.
