This last week, I have been planning and preparing for my full day mentor visits set to take place during Spring Break. It has taken a lot of planning and coordination to get the required things done to be able to shadow Dr. Dunn at the hospital. I am really excited about spending four days at the hospital and I know I will learn a lot. Since I have not been able to go on many mentor visits so far, I'm hoping that spending my time wisely during Spring Break will be able to make up for the missed time. At the hospital, I hope to witness what Forensic Psychiatrists do in a hospital setting. I want to learn more about the field in this setting and get some experiences as well. I know from my experiences in the hospital and interactions with patients and medical professionals that one can learn a tremendous amount in one day by observing carefully and asking resourceful questions. I will make sure to update next week about what my mentor visits were like!
