One major part of the ISM journey every year is the original work every ISM student produces. Original Work is where we conduct research completely by ourselves. We gather our own data, organize it into charts and right an assessment of our findings. It is an opportunity to go into in depth and learn more tahn one can while reading others' articles.

Since I am studying Forensic Psychiatry this year, I have decided to explore the relation between law enforcement and those with mental disorders. Usually, forensic psychiatrist deal with individuals in a legal setting. This usually means that the profession works with criminals and custody battles among other things. As a high school student, it would be very difficult to conduct research involving such situations.
