This coming week holds a major ISM event called Research Showcase, where every student from the school district presents their journey and the knowledge they've collected at a single event. The event is on Thursday at Heritage High School and starts at 7PM. I encourage all of you all to attend. Not only will you be able to be exposed to large amounts of information on various careers but there will also be lots of food as well! So far, we have been preparing for this important event in class for the last few weeks.
In the last few weeks, we have worked on our presentation boards and portfolios. These are the most important because these will be tangible objects tons of people will see at the event. We have printed out everything we have worked on this year and organized it into our portfolios. Additionally, we have been working on making our trifolds not only informational but also aesthetically pleasing. Straight lines, colors, textures, and pull factor are all crucial factors every single one of us have considered while staring at out posters. Since my field is Forensic Psychology, I haven't been able to meet the standards of some of the others. One person will be bringing a classroom skeleton while another will be bringing a real brain! However, my board isn't completely lame and is actually interesting enough, so I'll make sure to post a picture of the final soon! Unfortunately, I will not be present at the showcase this week, but I will still be having a mini showcase with a few others later on!
