INDIGENT DEFENSE

Indigent Defense is a part of law that works to provide support to those who cannot afford a lawyer for defense in a criminal case through programs, services, and by providing a public defender. Indigent Defense is a direct result of Gideon v. Wainwright, a Supreme Court case that upheld the Sixth Amendment right to counsel.

FORENSIC PSYCHIATRY ​

Forensic Psychiatry is a specialized branch of Psychiatry where the medical, psychological, and legal fields overlap. A Forensic Psychiatrist usually conducts psychiatric evaluations, and in some cases offers expert psychiatric opinions in the form of testimony, and trial consultations.
